Basic agency information and responsibilities, import requirements, forms and links to the major government agencies.
There are close to 100 government agencies in the United States. Importation of certain categories of merchandise may be prohibited or restricted to protect the United States economy, security and society.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) administers the laws of these other government agencies as they apply to imported merchandise. Because of this, compliance with certain other government agency regulations may be required as part of the CBP entry and release process.
